About Sunset Yard Solutions

Sunset Yard Solutions takes the worry and the bother away from owning the lushest, greenest, healthiest lawn. Our name comes from the after-hours time of day Steven Miller found himself offering lawncare before he left his other trade job to specialize full-time in his passion for beautifying local yards, both residential and commercial.


He offers weekly mows and expert lawn treatment, spring and fall cleanups, as well as landscape design, installation and maintenance. What sets Sunset apart from other services is Steven’s approachable level of customer service, investment in commercial-grade equipment, and seasoned knowledge of the industry.

Living up to “solutions” in our name, Sunset Yard Solutions offers a comprehensive range of professional services, from mowing, mulching and edging, to lawn treatment, aerating, fertilizing, seeding, weed and grub control, lawn rolling, lawn maintenance, landscaping and now concrete work.


Steven and his staff have the expertise to diagnose your lawn’s needs and address them. He also has the creativity and expertise when it comes to beautiful landscape design, installation and maintenance. Growing up in Fredericksburg, Steven finds it rewarding to beautify the lawns and lands of fellow community members.

Lawn rolling

Especially in the springtime, rolling out your lawn smooths out heaving from frost, and bumps and irregularities caused by rodents or grubs.

Aeration 

Our professional-grade equipment creates holes and spreads the plugs on a lawn’s surface to allow more oxygen to reach the grass root system. It alleviates soil compaction and lets more water and nutrients into the system.

Mowing

Whether a single mow or part of a recommended weekly mowing schedule, our expert staff knows the optimal time to mow shorter or longer, and how to spot problems in the grass condition. A commercial-grade, stand-on mower and zero-turn riding mower produce perfectly striped finishes on any lawn.

Working with fellow family-owned business, Kaufman Mulch in Millersburg, allows Steven to offer a wide selection and trusted quality. He guides homeowners and business owners to select the color and shred to best complement any building.

Grass seeding

The spring and early summer are good times to seed grass, as warmer temperatures are ideal for germination. The Sunset crew can address thinning or bald spots in your lawn for consistent color and condition.

Leaf clean-up

Not picking up leaves or fallen twigs and branches can be detrimental to your landscape beds and grass. They can block sunlight from reaching the grass and may lead to mold growth over the winter.

An impressive knowledge of which plants, flowers, shrubs and trees will thrive in Ohio’s climate zone uniquely qualifies Steven to design beautifully landscaped beds to compliment any home or business.

Raised Garden Beds

We now offer raised garden bed services — from custom sales and professional installation to soil filling and planting prep. Whether you're starting a veggie patch or a flower garden, we’ll make it easy to grow from the ground up!

Concrete Services

In addition to our expert landscaping services, we now offer professional concrete work to enhance your outdoor spaces. From patios and retaining walls to sidewalks, steps, and paver installations, our team delivers durable, stylish solutions that bring both function and beauty to your property.

Lawn Treatment Plan

Steven has worked with every fertilizer product on the market and chooses to only use the highest quality formulas that produce results. 



His four-step fertilizer program includes a springtime pre-emergent for early weed control, a weed control treatment in June, a third application in mid-summer to prevent grubs, and a winterizer treatment in the fall to protect your lawn’s root system through tot he following spring.
